changing secondary multiple times?
I am currently an elementalist/necro and got the option to change my secondary to warrior. I was also told if I want to I can change back.
1st : is it true that I can change back when I want. 2nd: how much does it cost? 3rd: what about attribute points? I mean not much sense it changing to say mesmer for my secondary if I can't get any attribute points to actually use the mesmer. |

1st: Yes, you can change your secondary as often as you like...
2nd: it's free, as in beer... 3rd: any attribute points spent in your secondary will be refunded to you, so you may redistribute them (on your new secondary, or primary, whatever you feel like |

1st: Yes
Say you are a E/Mo and want to try E/Me so you witch to it. you can then switch back to E/Mo if you're not happy with it. On the sam token you can switch to E/R, E/W, and E/N as many times as your heart desires. 2nd: As far as i know all you have to do is complete the quests in crystal desert, never done them so i wouldn't know but i doubt there is any cost involved. 3rd: Your att. points are reset (as in all att pts refunded). got beaten to it. Now my question. When changing seocndary prof, will i lose the skill points i have accumilated but not yet used ( the ones viewable when pressinh [H])? |

1) yes. theoretically you can change your secondary as many times as you want. there are 6 quests (some of which arent easy) and once they are complete you speak to the ghost about changing your profession. you only have to complete the quest once, i changed from mo/r to mo/n and back to mo/r. i can switch back to necro secondary at will, according to the ghost.
2) it costs nothing, aside from the skill points to buy skills for your new secondary profession 3) attributes are automatically refunded off your lost secondary skills damn. go afk before hitting submit |

@spondy: you will not lose any skill points
in fact you will lose nothing AT ALL when changing your secondary EXCEPT for 1 or 2 letters behind the slash where your classes are listed (for they will be replaced with some other letters) :P |

hehe thanks. Now i can fulfill my ideas about making a cross-class hybrid character, for instace when i have to heal i use a E/Mo, and when i have to nuke i use a E/Me build.

Its good that you can change your secondary multiple time.. but you would have to go back to ascalon city and start doing all those new quests for skills.

Yes, it is true that you can change back your secondary profession to your orginal profession by doing and talking to the NPC's that have your secondary profession quest in hand...and no...and doesnt cost anything

wow, im surprised there is still somethign totally left out here.
first off, you have to buy every new skill yuo want, so it does cost skill points. next off, if you havent yet realized, everytime you buy a skill, the cost goes up, for it could hurt your wallet if your not high on cash. and finally,(possibly the largest draw back) attribute refunds. im not completly sure on this one, but to my knowledge, you lose refund points, so if you change back to much, you wont get to be able to change all your atr points. |

Well I didn't need someone to tell me that, but yes it's true.
About the att. points, yes you do lose refund points but they are easily replenished. Every 250XP gets you one refund point. (Don't confuse, "refunded att points" with "refund points") Last edited by spondy; Aug 29, 2005 at 08:16 PM // 20:16.. |
